Setting new precedents
I spent a decade doing public-private deals from inside the institution — not advising on them from outside.
As Assistant Vice President for Real Estate, Public Partnerships and Compliance at Louisiana State University, I managed the university’s real estate contracts and oversaw development projects with budgets topping $200 million. Before that I was an attorney to the LSU Board of Supervisors, an attorney to the Governor of Louisiana, General Counsel to the Louisiana Legislative Auditor, and an assistant district attorney.
My legal, procurement and operating experience lets me see both the board-level process and the deal terms that have to survive it. The auditor’s chair taught me what a process has to look like when somebody comes back later to pick it apart.
